Nike Air Force 1 Low Off-White “Black” (The Ten)
The Ten “GHOSTING” – Synthetic & Mesh Upper
Designed by Virgil Abloh for Nike’s landmark 2017 project “The Ten,” the Air Force 1 Low Off-White “Black” sits within the “GHOSTING” suite, where familiar icons were deliberately deconstructed into prototypes-in-progress. Abloh’s approach—exposed foam, visible construction, translucent layering and industrial-style signifiers—helped define an era of contemporary sneaker culture and placed these releases at the intersection of streetwear, design history, and museum-level fashion objects.
This “Black” iteration balances restraint and experimentation: a reconstructed synthetic-and-mesh upper, oversized Swoosh with signature orange tab, Off-White branding on the medial side, doubled “AIR” callouts, and the iconic blue zip-tie. Raw suede accents on the lateral panels and heel add tactile contrast, while the overall execution preserves the Air Force 1’s classic proportions beneath Abloh’s conceptual edits. With limited availability and enduring global demand for Off-White x Nike collaborations, the model remains a highly liquid collectible on the secondary market, where recent comparable sales have reached approximately €1,717, offering clear context versus a €1,200 acquisition level for collectors seeking a culturally pivotal, investment-aware addition.
