Ahmet Güneştekin (born in 1966 in Batman, Turkey) is a unique voice in contemporary Middle Eastern art. His work blends collective memory, Mesopotamian traditions, mythology, and abstraction, creating a distinctive aesthetic. Through painting, sculpture, and installation, he builds layered visual narratives with intense colors, inlaid surfaces, and symbolic geometries. His works have been exhibited in institutions and international art fairs, attracting global audiences and collectors.

The “Witnesses Through Thousands of Years” belongs to the Caesar’s Right series, reflecting on power, time, and historical memory. Two monumental figures emerge from a background inlaid with lines and chromatic vibrations, imbuing the surface with a textile effect. The circle and arch suggest the eternal cycle of history.

Güneştekin’s unique works are sought after by galleries and collectors worldwide. His large-scale installations and solo exhibitions in international venues have solidified his presence in both primary and secondary markets.

He has exhibited at the MoMA, Venice Biennale, Pera Museum, ZKM Karlsruhe, Pi Artworks, and numerous international art fairs. His works are part of public and private collections focusing on memory, identity, and intercultural dialogue.
