Keith Haring (1958–1990) was one of the most influential figures of the 1980s New York art scene, an icon of Pop Art and a voice of a generation that transformed urban language into universal art. His unmistakable style — energetic lines, vivid primary colors, and stylized figures — emerged in the subways of New York and soon reached museums, galleries, and collectors worldwide. Through his vibrant visual language, Haring explored universal themes such as life, love, sexuality, freedom, and social justice.

Pop Shop Quad II (1988) is part of Haring’s celebrated Pop Shop series, created to channel the energy of his public murals into screenprint form. The work is divided into four panels, each depicting his iconic human figures in motion, rendered with bold black outlines and flat colors that epitomize his visual language.

This series was born from Haring’s Pop Shop project in Manhattan, a space he opened to make art accessible to everyone through affordable prints, posters, and T-shirts. Pop Shop Quad II perfectly encapsulates that democratic spirit — transforming street art into collectible fine art while preserving its message of openness, joy, and social awareness.

Haring’s screenprints have seen steady appreciation in recent years, with the Pop Shop series among the most sought-after by collectors.

The artist’s market index has risen +122% in the past year, underscoring sustained collector interest.

Keith Haring’s works are part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Centre Pompidou (Paris), and the Tate (London). His art has been featured in major retrospectives worldwide, including at the Whitney Museum and Palazzo Reale in Milan.
