Yu-Gi-Oh! Blue-Eyes White Dragon LB-01 — Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon Japanese (2000), PSA 10
LB-01 – Japanese Ultra Rare, PSA 10 GEM MINT
The Japanese Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon set, released on 18 May 2000 and distributed only in Japan, is the release that gave the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game its defining image. The set gathers 61 cards selected from the original Starter Box and Vol.1, and Blue-Eyes White Dragon is its cover card — one of only four Ultra Rare cards in the entire set.
This is the 2000 Japanese printing, which predates the far more widely known English LOB-001 of 2002 by two years. That chronology is central to its standing: collectors treat the Japanese edition as the original appearance of the artwork in the modern TCG format, and the print quality of the Japanese run has long been regarded as the reference point for the card.
The dragon of Seto Kaiba remains the most recognizable monster in the franchise, an emblem that carried the game from its first expansion into global pop culture. This example has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA with a GEM MINT 10 grade, the highest designation issued, and the holder is reported in perfect condition — originality, preservation and collectible standing all resolved at the top of the scale.
