One Piece Card Game Monkey D. Luffy Gear 5 Manga Alternate Art OP05-119 — Japanese, PSA 10

OP-05 Awakening of the New Era, the set Bandai issued for the game's first anniversary in 2023, carries the moment that defines modern One Piece: the awakening of Luffy's fruit and his transformation into Gear 5, the Warrior of Liberation. The card is the first legendary Gear 5 issued with the Manga Background finish, and it is among the reference points of the entire OP05 era.

The Manga Alternate Art treatment builds the background from original panels taken directly from Eiichiro Oda's pages, framing the character in the source material itself. It is the most sought-after category in the game, sustained by an exceptionally low pull rate — a combination that has made high-grade copies genuinely scarce rather than merely popular.

This example is the Japanese printing, which collectors regard as the original and the most desirable for print quality and holofoil effect, and it has been encapsulated by PSA at 10 GEM MINT. With the character, the set and the grade all pointing the same way, it stands as a centrepiece for a serious One Piece collection.
